He’s the biological son of Al B. and the adopted son of Diddy, but we all know he IS Quincy. Quincy the model, singer, songwriter, director, photographer, actor and current heart throb/community activist on Fox’s hit musical drama “Star”. Recently, Quincy released his independent project “This Is For You” on Valentine’s Day. The project’s tracks cover the “usual suspects” that make relationships both good and complicated as demonstrated on the remake of his father’s classic “I Can Tell You (Night and Day 2.o)” and the popular “Late Night Flex”. Although Mr. Al B. Sure lends his own distinctive falsetto to his remake, the track that really grabbed my attention is “Me Time” produced by DJ Corbett. On “Me Time”, Quincy stresses the importance of taking time out from himself while still being loyal to the one he loves. However, it’s the conviction in his vocals and the slow guitar tempo that makes this track a beautiful ballad for “him” – although it screams “this is for the benefit of you” too.” Yep, men have get up in their zone sometimes – so, we hear ya’ Quincy. “This Is For You” is now available on iTunes. And the link to “Me Time” is below for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!
